I will be uploading my Super 8 movies as I get them transferred. I have loads of tests and full films that I made from the age of 12 to 21. I then switched to shooting video on my brand new Sony Betamax recorder. Yes. SONY BETAMAX
This movie is called CLAYMEN and is one of the very first animated films I made that has survived. My very first attempt at animation was with my G.I. Joe and I was 12 years old. That was the beginning of my animation days back in 1975.
My SUPER 8 and REG 8 FILMS not in any kind of order or preference. Just a dump of my early attempts as a kid.
My favorite past time. Jumping of roofs.
This was for a High School project. The original soundtrack was to Pink Floyd’s Welcome to the Machine.
I liked to make simple characters for fast weekend animations. The simpler the better, they were just going to die horrible deaths anyway. No reason to spend time on character design.
This was my most environmental statement about Man’s exploration and his skill for trashing everything he touches.
Satan’s Furniture. That says it all.
This is a copy of Empire Strikes Back on Super 8 that I bought at my local Kmart store 1982. The best of the Star Wars franchise and the movie that made me focus on a stop motion career thanks to Phil Tippett’s incredible work.
TREADS, I made this film in 1975 after the movie JAWS came out. Funny thing... there was a movie made in 2010 of a killer tire. That film was titled RUBBER. I saw no residual paychecks. I still think TREADS was the better title.
Quest for Treasure. A Super 8 search for treasure leads to riches and greed and bad animation with marginal focus.
The Strange World. Three space travelers crash on a strange planet. They are met by the annoying inhabitants that keep trying to kill them.
Marooned is a very early stop motion animation on Regular 8. This is the film where I destroyed my sisters Barbie doll. GI Joe survived the crash but Barbie died in the fire.
Super 8 of a Halloween gone bad.
